If we are unable to arrange a convenient appointment time for you, here's a list of alternative COVID-19 Clinics.
It has been going quickly. Within 12 hours of the Federal Government allocating this practice a limited supply of the Pfizer vaccine and listing us on their website, we were fully booked until the end of October.
However, because supply has increased recently, we are now able to widen Pfizer recipients to anyone aged over 12. To confirm whether you meet Department of Health requirements, you can download either a PDF or Microsoft Word fact sheet by clicking Pfizer eligibility. If you are good to go, use the HotDoc app to make an appointment. Do not call reception for more Pfizer information or to make a Pfizer appointment. They cannot help you in this regard. You can, of course, make an appointment with one of our doctors to discuss any personal issues regarding vaccinations.
We should stress that once you've had two doses, the AstraZeneca vaccine has proved as effective as the Pfizer version in terms of preventing infection, transmission and serious complications, even death. We are able to offer AstraZeneca vaccinations to all patients over the age of 18.
As before, our COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays to provide innoculations. And as before, we strongly recommend you use either your mobile or computer along with the HotDoc app to make an INSTANT APPOINTMENT.
For those who have to use the phone, we have a dedicated line directly to our COVID Clinic. But it's only available at certain times. To call for a COVID vaccination appointment, please ring 0491 768 812 between 10am and 2pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
When you get here, you'll find the COVID Clinic has a separate entrance. Just follow the red-arrow signs to the right, around the corner and through our alfresco waiting area to the door down the side where we'll ask you a few quick questions about your medical history and tell you about possible side effects. Once you've had your jab, we'll make sure you have an appointment for your second dose and ask you to wait around for a further 15 minutes for observation. If after four days you experience unexpected side effects, in particular unusual headaches, the Therapetic Goods Administration would like to hear from you. They provide either PDF or Word forms to fill out at National Adverse Events Following Immunisation. At some point you'll probably want proof that you've had both your doses. Meanwhile, we continue to offer either face-to-face or telehealth consultations, depending on circumstances. If we are seeing you in person, there are still two provisos. In order to create the safest environment possible, we need you to bring a mask. Second, as before we will not see you if you have a respiratory infection, and that includes the common cold. If you do have symptoms, self-isolate and get a COVID-19 swab test. You can find the nearest testing sites by using the NSW Government's COVID-19 testing clinics search facility.
